Phlogopite Mica Sheets

Introduction         

Rigid mica sheet comes in the form of rigid laminated sheet after laminating, pressing and baking process, consists of quality muscovite, phlogopite or synthetic mica paper impregnated with high temperature resistant organic silicon resin as binding agent.

Fire resistance classification UL94 (94 V-0); BS479 (class 1); IEC 60371-3-3 conformity

It is available with Muscovite mica or in Phlogopite mica. Primary difference is Muscovite has a continuous operating temperature of 600°C / 1110F and Phlogopite 800°C / 1470 F.

Application           

Rigid mica sheet are specially developed to providing outstanding thermal and electrical insulation for different heating elements. It has a wide range of following applications:

- To implement resistor support, especially for heating elements in toasters, hair dryers,iron,heating wire heater, electric heat comb.

- To manufacture closed heating elements such as heater bands, heating elements, clothes irons and presses, kettles, cooking appliances, heating elements for extrusion machines;

- To be used as thermal insulation material in circuit breakers such as divider between components affected by a high heat loads.

3mm Natural Mica Sheet are thin, flat pieces of mica mineral that are used for electrical and thermal insulation purposes. Mica is a naturally occurring mineral that is known for its excellent insulating properties and resistance to high temperatures. Mica sheets are often used in electrical and electronic equipment, such as heating appliances, electrical panels, and industrial machinery, to provide thermal and electrical insulation.

Tufflam Silicone Bonded Phlogopite Mica Sheet is a specific variety of mica, belonging to the mica group of minerals. It is a magnesium-rich mica with the chemical formula KMg3(AlSi3O10)(OH)2.
